The Capital Card® is happy to announce we are working in partnership with the Essex Cricket Foundation to deliver:
“One Hit to Another Hit”.
As part of the Essex County Cricket’s drive and determination to improve their community, the Essex Cricket Foundation’s is working with the Capital Card, by running a six week programme focused on developing skills, such as First Aid, Safeguarding, Leadership and of course a cracking Leg-spin bowl!
The aim of the this programme is to give those who are in recovery the skills, confidence and motivation to reintegrate in the community, along with a few games of cricket with expert coaching from Essex County Cricket Club.
Capital Card Users can earn points each for attending, and will be presented with a team uniform on successful completion of the programme.

The first week will consist of an introduction to the programme along with a few games of cricket and a few warm sessions.
There will no session this week, due to maintenance works.
The third week will focus on Safeguard training and ensuring inclusion in running cricket sessions.
In this week the focus will return to focusing on the development of skill foundation, as well as game development.
In this week, you will cover first aid to confidently supervise games.
This week you learn essential information necessary to running a festival, confidently and safely.
The final week will see a celebration of the participants successful completion of the “One Hit to Another Hit” Programme and a presentation ceremony of certificates and Essex Cricket Foundation uniform.
One Hit to Another Hit aims to build confidence in participants, as well as a sense of purpose and worth, all the while reinforcing a long term commitment to recovery.
Participants will be provided with clothing on completion of the programme to show their commitment to personal development.
From this participants will be able to continue development in Cricket coaching and deliver sessions, as well as find employment opportunities.
